Your 2016 Montana Elk Hunt

March is upon us and if you haven’t already done so, it’s time to plan your 2016 Montana elk hunt! March 15 is the deadline to apply for 2016 deer and elk hunting permits in the Big Sky state. Whether you’ve got elk, deer or both on your wish list, now is the time to pull the trigger. Fortunately, both of our elk hunting areas in Montana are in general license units and do not require applications. However, if you’re unsure how to apply or have any questions about the process, we’re here to help. Please give us a call at 406-932-5687 or contact us online if you need more information about Montana’s big game licensing process.

We are looking forward to another great year of elk and deer hunting in Montana. For the past several years in our primary elk hunting units, our guides have continued to see more and more numbers of quality bulls. The elk in this area are booming, the bull-to-cow ratio is very high, and we believe it’s one of the best-kept secrets in Montana. If you’re looking for an outstanding elk hunt that doesn’t require waiting years to draw a tag, give us a call!

If you’re thinking about a bighorn sheep hunt in one of Montana’s unlimited units, you have more time before the application deadline. The deadline for sheep licenses is May 2.
